I've been very (very, very) lax about posting here, but I really want to get back to it. I like blogging, and I would really like to see about using my blog to earn an income online. The economy is challenging, and if there is any way to help my family by making money with my website, I feel like that's something I should do.
This year, I am going to focus my efforts on trading links with relevant sites. I'm sure that will help my blog get back on track, start getting some more page views, and make it more profitable than it is (which isn't saying much). I'm also going to try to post more - which is the most important thing one can do to turn around a dead blog - I will try to write more about my family and hobbies .
Some topics I'd like to cover are online shopping, knitting, scrapbooking, child-rearing, and current events. If you think you'd like to read those things, please subscribe to my blog and I'll let you know when I make a new post!

A Hillsborough man was killed and two other Central Jerseyans were injured when an SUV rolled over early this morning on Route 18 near the Gordons Corner Road overpass.
Zachary Finch, 26, of Hillsborough, a front-seat passenger, was thrown from the Jeep Cherokee during the rollover, at about 1:15 a.m., and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Asbury Park Press.
Driver Bryn Kolodziejski, 21, of the Whitehouse Station section of Readington, and rear-seat passenger Jared Makowski, 25, of Manville, were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with injuries that were not life-threatening, First Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor Peter Warshaw said, the newspaper reported on its Web site.
Warshaw said the prosecutor's office and Marlboro police are investigating, and the Monmouth County Medical Examiner's Office is expected to conduct an autopsy Monday, the newspaper reported.
It's always sad to hear that someone you know has died. Whether it's a family member, friend or just an acquaintance. The death of Zack was particularly hard for me, even though I barely knew him. There is something about that moment when you hear the news. A moment of disbelief--if not days of it. I don't even know how to express all the feelings that have gone through me in the past week. Let me try.
I met Zack back in January. It was a night I particularly remember because I got in a car accident after we left the bar..kind of strange looking back on it now. But anyway, as soon as I walked up to say 'Hi' to my friend, James, Zack immediately started talking to my sister and I--the friendliest, chattiest, funniest guy I had ever met at that place. He was the kind of guy that left an impression on you. I'm very bad with names..but I didn't forget his.
After that night I only saw Zack on a few occasions. Here and there at the bar..always a smile on his face, surrounded by friends--yet always took the time to come say 'Hey, how are ya?' to the girls that he barely knew and met months before.
It's interesting how fondly I think of him, with that little interaction and time knowing each other...and I think I've figured out why. His friends. Seeing how absolutely devastated his friends were when he passed was almost more than I could take. We had mutual friends, and seeing the look in their eyes over the past week..it just hits you hard. They all knew that Zack was someone special. A friend that you have for life, that didn't have a bad bone in his body, that can never be replaced or forgotten.
I hope that Zack knows how much of an impression he has made on his friends' lives..and mine.
It is true what they say...only the good die young.
Rest in peace, Zack. We miss you.

Soo..apparently Paris Hilton was released from jail today. I can't say that I'm totally shocked..but this is just getting ridiculous. Celebrities can pretty much get away with murder these days (I still don't believe you, O.J.). Why?? Honestly, why..I can't think of how this in any way benefits society..I really think we could do without reading about Paris' scandals for 6 weeks..it really won't kill us. *sigh* =/

Finding a boyfriend while in college is a feat that not many of my girl friends or myself have conquered. It is really difficult to find someone that you are totally attracted to who also wants to be in a relationship. Many times I find guys that I am either physically attracted to or mentally attracted to..but never both! Once my sister found her current boyfriend online it really got me thinking that it is possible to find love over the internet at any age. I came across this site www.justsayhi.com and it is perfect for finding someone with your same interests, style and personality that lives right around the corner! The best part is that their internet dating site is completely free, unlike all those other rip-off dating websites. I'm beginning to think that online dating is the future of all dating--who wouldn't want to hand pick their new boyfriend or girlfriend from thousands?? =)

This past weekend I moved into my new house that I'll be living in for the next year while I'm attending school. When we first saw the place on Friday it was a complete mess! The boys that had lived there before us clearly spent no time cleaning and the landlord did not hire a cleaning service. My roommates and I were in shock. I always knew that college guys lived in filth but you never know quite the extent of it until you are forced to live in it...or take one look at the bathroom. So basically I spent my entire first day there just cleaning my room of all the dust and dirt that covered every inch of it. Saturday and Sunday I painted my room, which now looks amazing and brand new so I am very happy with it. This week I will start moving in my furniture so that it is actually tolerable, since sleeping in an empty room on an air mattress the past few nights hasn't been the greatest experience.
Although I am excited about the new place, I'm also nervous. I have never lived with any of my 4 roommates before and they are all girls. From experience with my family, I know that 4 girls trying to live with each other is rough..let alone 5. But I will be optimistic for now, at least I have my own room for the first time in my life! =)

Two weekends ago I went down the shore for Memorial Day and I've never seen so many people at the beach! It seemed as if it were just a constant party with people all over the streets and a bbq at every house. Hanging out with my sister and her friends at their house was amazing, I don't think I've ever had so much fun while at the beach. The weather was beautiful and the rain that was expected held out until Sunday night when I had already left. I can't wait to spend many more summer weekends down the shore..but this really has made me wonder--does anyone even remember what Memorial Day is about? or has it just become another day off from work and an excuse to party?
( Above are a few pictures of friends and me =] )
